TRACKBACK: San Francisco, CA. 1-5 June 2005. - Summer Rayne Oakes appeared at the eco-fashion show coordinated by Wildlife Works for World Environment Day. Summer Rayne helped provide logistical support for the show, debuted Organic Portraits at the event, walked the runway, and made appearances for media interviews. The show was well attended, drawing in a crowd close to 800, with mayors from around the world, press, international youth, business executives, and fellow personalities including former Vice President Al Gore, Roario Dawson, and Jason Lewis.

LEFT: At the signing of the Accords. Mayors from around the world convened in San Francisco to celebrate green cities and create a plan for a sustainable urban future: The San Francisco Urban Environmental Accords.
This event was significant for a number of reasons, including the fact that the United Nation's was founded in San Francisco 60 years earlier. Secondly, San Francisco is known currently as the "Greenest City" in the U.S., with Portland, Oregon coming in a close second. Lastly, it is a move in the direction of combining the power of politics from around the world under the umbrella of sustainability. Important Link: Millenium Development Goals
