Off to Washington D.C. for U.S. Partnership

Summer Rayne Oakes has been invited to attend the work session between the US Partnership Youth Sector, the United Nation's Environmental Programme (UNEP), and UNESCO. The US Partnership is a coalition of environmental and sustainability groups across the U.S. and Canada that have agreed to collaborate with one another under the UN Decade for the Education of Sustainable Development (2005-2014). The purpose of the Decade is to create a stronger voice to facilitate sustainabilty initiatives locally and globally. Oakes discussed the launch of a sustainability education entitled ECOFASHION 101 as well as possibiilties for collaboration with other members.
