We have over 1,300 young people signed up for Power Shift, the First National Summit to Solve the Climate Crisis run entirely for and by young people this NOVEMBER 2-5 in D.C.. Keep the people coming!
Click here or watch below to view Van Jones (Ella Baker Center), one of the featured speakers at Power Shift. Van Jones is working to combine solutions to America's two biggest problems: social inequity and environmental destruction. His dual roles have given him a unique perspective on the country's problems and its potential solutions. Under the slogan "Green jobs, not Jails," Van today is calling for green economic development in urban America, and his visionary efforts are already meeting with practical sense.
Also check out what Richard Scott has to say, one of Power Shift's Spokespeople. He's the Student Regent for the U of Maryland and a Frostburg State University senior studying political science, public administration, and theater with an interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
