We just came across this now. Article from the New Castle Journal highlighting the People Tree shoot with Summer Rayne at Brancepeth Castle in Witton Gilbert (Durham County).
"This is a People Tree shoot, a company with as many international connections as a Parisian luxury brand, except their connections are far more personal and life and livelihood dependent at grassroots level, quite literally.
Founder Safia Minney has been highly visible in the national media during the recent Fairtrade Fortnight, but she's at Brancepeth shooting during the tail-end of one winter for preparation for the next.
Model Summer Rayne Oakes is a sweet yet formidable presence, and certainly a change of image for the company. Previous editions used one or two professional models, the rest have been friends. All are young, pretty, and wholesome.
Summer is all of these things, but she's also sassy and sexy and a well regarded environmental spokesmodel...She ticks all the right boxes for her views and beliefs, and her looks must help...
On her role in all of this, Summer Rayne says, "It's a great way of combining image and integrity and inspiring people along the way." Safia has chosen her 'face' for autumn/winter wisely. The People Tree message goes further and further every season."
