Seattle [Green] Fashion Week produced by Zella Company brought a positive lasting impression of sustainable style to the 1,000-person audience. The company partnered with a nicely edited selection of high-end designers like, Sling & Stones/Good Society, Lizzie Parker, Souchi, and Lara Miller, which gave a radical edge that wowed the crowd. Earth Pledge provided some new and old designs from their Future Fashion Collection, which included one-of-a-kind pieces from Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenburg, and Heatherette. Earth Pledge also announced the release of the Future Fashion Sustainability Whitepapers. Summer Rayne Oakes was a contributor, as was Julie Gilhart (Barney's), Horst Rechelbacher (Founder of Aveda & Intelligent Nutrients), Michael Kininmonth (Lenzing Apparel), Natalie Chanin (Alabama Chanin), GreenBlue Institute, and a number of others. Grist gives a nice overview of the event here.
