TRACKBACK: San Jose, CA. 21 Oct 2005 Summer Rayne accompanied the Sustainable Cotton Project to take a tour of the San Joaquin Valley to gain a behind-the-scenes look at the many sides of conventional, biologically intensive pest management, and organic cotton production. While on the tour, Oakes spoke with farmers as well as representatives from Gap, Sam's Club, Levis, NASA, and Organic Exchange. The SCP tour made it a point to visit Don Cameron, who had been maintaining the last organic cotton farm in Califronia. Cameron sells his Pima cotton to CCA, Marks & Spencer, and Patagonia.
