Lord B. takes a nap on my shoulder.
Lord B. approves of the fair trade Veja sneaker. Green please.
This is one parrot's quest for ethical fashion. Year after year he comes back to Paris for the premiere event on all things eco and stylish - The Ethical Fashion Show. This year was no exception. What does Lord B have to say? He gives it two talons up.

I was recently interviewed by NBC 1 for their eco-fashion segment. The Channel is focused on teens, so I love how they got a bunch of students in on the conversation. In this interview I'm sporting a bamboo knit top by Avita and organic cotton jeans by Loomstate.
There's been a lot of oddities and goodies happening in and around the "green" fashion scene as of late. I had the opportunity to participate in 4 ethical fashion shows this year and a host of great cause-related programs.
Check out my Top 10List of the latest gossip, cool events, and personal vignettes I've come across during my travels for this past September's feature at grist.organd I'll be sure to give you the scoop on all the shows.
Check out images of Seattle Fashion week here and here, which featured looks from Future Fashion, Thieves, Sling&Stones, Lizzie Parker, and others. Ekovaruhuset also hit off the stage in the Norwegian House in NYC. Ethical Fashion Show (Paris) images to come at a later date.

Seattle showcased an impressive [green] fashion week this past October 3-6th, 2007 at El Gaucho and the Bell Harbor Conference Center on Pier 66. Above: Adam Lowry, Eric Ryan (founders of Method Home) and Summer Rayne Oakes (Model/Activist) share a laugh on the eco-design panel.
Fashion photos to follow later. For more information on the events, check out Seattle's Official Show website at fw07.com; the Seattle Times article; and the feature by Seattle-based Grist.
